the point is that it doesnt matter what we think here.

the simple fact is that some player was offended enough to put in a report on your name and Anet agreed that it was a nice try but no cigar.

earlier you would have had to delete the character loot and all so a simple rename is easy.

among the 50,000 vulgar names i had no clue i was 'rolling dice' if i had any idea whatsoever that my account could have been suspended for having a silly name like 'nice wrack' would i have created it? of course not. This is why i feel i should not be suspended. Now if i had a name like B*tches aint SHhhhh. i might not feel so bad about the situation.

OK I might be stupid, but can somebody explain whats so bad about Nice Wrack. I searched on google for nice wrack, nice rack and stuff but the first 40 entries wern't offensive in anyway. So plz explain to me.

If you have to put a clarifier in parenthesis next to the name, odds are you suspected someone might have been offended.
The argument, "Oh well, I'm not as bad as other people!" is folly. You may not be as bad as them, but that doesn't change a thing.

Let it go and be content that things aren't the way the used to be, where your offending character would be totally banned, instead of a SHORT temporary ban, because in the end, Anet's judgements on their servers > All.

Out of curiosity, did you send a support ticket to Anet stating your opinion yet? Or is this just a rant?

i'm looking for a way to reply to anets decision and weather or not the community feels the same, not for a way to take it in the butt. My support reply email has been sent to a senior member who is reviewing the information now.

Anet has the right to change your name, especially when it disrupts someone's playing experience.

UPDATE: my suspension has been lifted as i refused to 'take it in the butt' and remained resiliant, none of my names were changed.... thank you to all the people who said SUCK IT UP. JUST PAY THE PRICE. LIFE SUCKS and so on
